Although I do a lot of very minimal work, something I love is just filling the frame. Edge to edge produce, products, food, drink, what ever it may be. These images always seem to do far better as prints, but that’s never stopped me before from sharing my macro food and drink photography online.
These images are all parts of different projects from my food and drink photography portfolio and are a mix of personal projects and commercial commissions.
Scott Choucino works as a professional commercial food and drink photographer in the UK out of London with agent Lisa Pritchard. If you want to discuss a photoshoot, head over here to either contact Lisa Pritchard agency or to contact me directly.
Sometimes you just need a spot of close up fruit photography to really show off the freshness of the produce and give the viewer a better idea of what it might feel like to be chomping down on a perfect cherry or a raspberries soft and slightly furry texture. For me, close up photography of fruit can also be incredibly pleasing to the eye and a very graphic style of food photography that can help to pick out key flavours in any products advertising push. From a Cherry Bakewell cake to a protein bar.
This series of close up fruit photography is looking at classic British summer time fruits from my childhood. Be it exotic (to me) Spanish cherries that we ate at my grandmas house in La Coruna or raspberries and blackberries picked from my English grandmas back garden or allotment. And who can forget going to a strawberry picking farm and eating as many on the way round as you picked (Pretty sure I got caught and told off once).
Macro Fruit Photography
Close up fruit photography, or close up photography of any kind is known within photography circles as macro photography. It can be applied to anything and although macro usually means a 1-2-1 ration, at my studio we can also get a LOT closer to the action and create some really striking images of food and products.

Coffee photography was always going to be something that I ended up doing. My love for coffee, being in the profession as a drinks photographer and having many friends in the coffee industry made is an obvious conclusion. I recently had a morning at my friends cafe photographing his amazing range of products. The cafe industry has been hit really hard by the pandemic, so please do check out one of my local roasters and support them if you can https://thecoffeecounter.co.uk/ .
Coffee Photography
Using my graphic style and a nice calming, yet fresh blue background, I set about showcasing the Coffee Counters coffee selection, but rather than just making it a list of photographs that represent their drinks menu, I decided to add a second photograph of the coffee once it was been drank. There is something about the way the drink stain the cup that is very pleasing, especially as a drink photographer. The series of coffee photos covers Espresso, Americano, flat whites, pour over coffees, macchiatos, and a classic Italian Cortardo. I hope you enjoy this graphic coffee photography.
Simple Styled Drink Photography
Sometimes the coffee, or any subject really, can speak for itself. This project was certainly one of those, with the milk and the crema of the espresso being so beautiful, I decided to create incredibly simple images where the coffee drink was the hero. With nothing to distract it and incredibly simple styling, it is clear that this coffee is of a very high standard.

Mc Donalds burger food photography and their food is a cult classic in the UK, and alongside the menu are a host of “need to know” orders and ways to eat your food. From simply swopping sauces through to the treble stack from the saver menu with Big Mac sauce in-between and to those (myself included) who like to dip our chips into the milk shake.
This series was shot over a rather long 12 hour Sunday in my spare time alongside food stylist Lola Faura https://lolafoodstylist.com/.
With Lola being from Spain, it was great explaining to her the odd things that we do with our McDonalds over here so she could help me realise those images.
I worked with bold vibrate and very simple backgrounds to help mimic the new style of the Mc Donalds packaging that has recently been launched. All of the food in this test shoot was ordered via Deliveroo from a local Mc Donalds and is the real deal from the kitchen to our studio .Here is my take on Mc Donalds food photography

The memory of going to the local off license store with my Dad on a Friday evening, 50 pence in hand to buy my selection of sweets is still a very vivid one.
Although a big partaker in the sugary treats as an adult, nothing ever comes close to the joys of being a child and chewing jelly sweets until your teeth get fury. The aim of this project was to document both the sweets of my 90s childhood as well as the colours and feeling that went along with that period in my life using strong bold and vibrant colours from a box of crafting paper I found in the loft that must be as old as me. I hope you enjoy my sweet photography.

I hope you are all doing well. 2020 was a tad brutal, but hopefully 2021 will be a little less hard going. I have a new portfolio and have fully re decorated my food photography studio.
At the end of 2020 I was fortunate enough to be signed to the rather prestigious LPA agency. Lisa Pritchard is a bit of an industry legend amongst photographers, so I was incredibly flattered when I was offered a place on her roster.
Being with Lisa has allowed me to free up some time, increase my marketing efforts, and most importantly, have a constant guide for my work and the direction of my career.
Lisa will now be taking all of my commercial bookings and you can contact her via;
