My name is Scott Choucino, I work as a creative portrait photographer in the UK. I am a MASSIVE music fan and an equally big fan of peanut butter and honey bagels. I am able to travel to locations throughout the United Kingdom and most of the world (and I enjoy doing so). My work is a mix of commercial photography and fine art. I like to offer something different in my images and I strive to deliver striking photographs to get you noticed.
I now get commissioned to photograph many different kinds of ‘performance’ including band photoshoots, live music, dance, theatre and comedy. Most recently I enjoyed covering Dave’s Comedy Festival Preview Show at De Montfort Hall, Leicester and my third music magazine cover with The Monograph. I make sure that my images allow the viewer to gain a real sense of what it was like to be there. Expression and strong composition have a high impact, attracting the viewer to the event.
This has led to an increasing number of very enjoyable portrait shoots for artists in my Studio. Unobtrusive, relaxed yet focussed, my shoots are professional and fun, capturing character in individuals and also the dynamic in groups.
I believe my signature style of photography brings a sense of uniqueness to commercial commissions, making my client’s brand stand out from the rest. My shoots are tailored to sell their product and brand by engaging key clients emotionally and visually. I spend a lot of time researching and working with a team of talented stylists and designers and am able to produce a full advertising package if required.
During the day I bring my style of shooting across into family and couple portraits. I want to offer something different for those who find that the approach of the “white backdrop studio photographer” just doesn’t cut it any more. For me, the word “family” can include pets too. Ignoring the old adage, I have no problems working with animals and children together (It just tends to require a few more clicks of the shutter.)
When it comes to the photoshoot, my approach is very natural and candid. I am there to capture your personality and the group dynamic, without getting in the way and constantly reminding you that you’re being photographed. The more enjoyable the shoot is, the better the images.
